Hey hey,

Since the "premed girls..." thread was getting so much attention, I thought I'd start a little thread of my own so that us girls (or guys if you swing that way) can chat up about how cute/ not so cute the guys in our premed classes are!!!

so... there is this really hot guy in my OCHEM class this semester, I'm talking serious eye candy here ladies... yumyum. Of course I'm just looking being that I'm taken and all, but I have to say, the sight isn't at all bad 🙂

haha - great thread idea! I would say though, for the most part, they're friends - definetly not as catty as most girls, and I should know... I am one! (not catty, just a girl. at least not REALLY catty...)

pre med guys have been so nice. they are so welcoming and sweet and they even help u study ...AS LONG AS U DONT SCORE BETTER THAN THEM!
oh and they have all the best new vgames so they are chill to hang out with even after library hours!!

Yeah, definitely preppyville here at UVa with all guys wearing pink shirts and khaki shorts everyday...

The male pre-meds at my school are decent-looking, but their personalities are about as flat and cookie-cutter as you can get. Incredibly stubborn and conservative as well.

The females are mostly untrustworthy, J-crew wearing pseudo-pop icons. Incredibly annoying.

from the way this thread is heading it appears that...

"All premed girls are either from snob-city or ugly-ville, and all premed guys are from dork-ville."

So by using process of elimination, everyone that posts on this site is either a snob, butt ugly or a total geek/dork.


And further, if all premeds are this way, so to are all med students. ANd Doctors..... ectera, ectera... Right🙄

Personally, I think most premeds are pretty decent people. Most want to go to medschool because they honestly want to help people. Cause let's face it, it's not for the money anymore, most people would be far better off in that sense, if they went into buisness or something along those lines. Of course, you get a few keeners/gunners that really stick out and as a result the entire premed community gets labelled. And like everywhere, you get your good and not so good looking people... but I always like to remember the saying that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" because half the time my friends and I can never really agree on whose hot and whose not, we all have our own tastes you know. And as for geeks, if your premed you have got to have a little "geek" in ya.... no "totally cool" person (that ends of selling hamburgers for a living) would ever put in the time and effort it takes to become a doctor!!! ANd if you guys disagree with me, that's fine, but your "totally lying" to youself!!

DORK??? Interesting term...I mean what does that really encompass.

I'll use myself to define or defy the term.

I study like hell, when I need to...I know my neurobiology inside out...hell I know my Physics inside out too..😛 So, from that point-of-view I am a DORK.

But I don't play video games (to me...all are a bit silly). Play basketball...and can humbly say that I have schooled some not so DORKY guys on the courts😉

I read some really DORKY stuff...from Salman Rushdie...V.S. Naipaul...James Joyce...to...Kazuo Ishiguro.

But I also wear rather hip/hop style clothes...and some times...OMG...a Raiders Bandana.

I listen to Tupac and Nas...and can still enjoy classical and blues here and there.

I enjoy watching Mike Bibby pull some serious Sh1t on the Lakers at ARCO as much as attending lectures on recent neuro-developments.
I have seen Eric Chavez hit it over the wall against the Yankees, but have also seen Yo Yo Ma in concert

This is not to show that I am the "coolest" pre-med...it all depends on where one grows up...I grew up in a rather grew in a ghetto...centra valley town

I don't think that having goals is dorky. But when people start to think that the only way they can reach those goals is by putting everybody else down and doing all u can to hurt people is when problems start. I see this a lot at Berkeley.

What I found out after going through the whole premed process, is that all the premed dorks end up doing research and going for a phd instead. Strange how at my school most all the premeds are heavily involved in the SGA, greek life, and generally can drink others under the table.

I would say that it takes a lot of extra activities and personality to actually make premed. Aside from that the "dorks" either end up cool by the end of the process or not getting in. They just cant handle the stress as well as the others.
