Preventive Medicine

any one interested in going into preventive medicine? i didnt realize that "preventive medicine" was an actual sub-specialty. the course I am taking on diet, disease, and exercise has really sparked my interest.

anybody know much about it as far as residency, where preventive medicine docs actually work, what they do, etc.?

I went to a speech this week by someone that had done a combined program in internal medicine and preventive medicine.

I'm definitely interested in the ideas of preventive medicine but am not sure how the specific training for this differs from internal medicine training.
