a friend of mine failed to mention an AP credit from high school (it was in something totally silly like "computer science" - it was a keyboarding class or something equally trivial) and AMCAS delayed her app until she had "corrected the discrepancies". i would say it is not a good idea to omit info. i know it is kind of silly to have to include things that don't even have bearing on the whole situation (ie: i took automotive classes and had to list these on my AMCAS...and they figured into my GPA! thank Heaven i had good grades in them 😛 )
long story short - DON'T DO IT! instead, explain WHY you did not do so hot - personal troubles? out of school for a long time before going back? just plain had a bad year? WHATEVER! any of that would be better than being caught trying to conceal things.
