I just received this e-mail and I wanted to pass it along.
Dear Pritzker Applicant:
This continues to be an extraordinary application year. Our communication with applicants and with AMCAS indicates that, many individuals have experienced delays or confusions that make it difficult or impossible for them to complete their application to the University of Chicago by our published completion deadline of December 1, 2001.
We wish to make certain that all who are interested in completing an application to the University of Chicago have time to overcome the setbacks they have experienced. We also desire that each applicant have the time necessary to compose and submit the very best application that they can. Accordingly, the Committee on Admissions has extended the deadline for completion for materials postmarked January 4, 2002. This deadline extension applies to regular admissions as well as the combined degree programs, MSTP and MAS.
A completed application consists of :
1. A copy of your completed AMCAS application submitted either by surface mail, FAX, or email (as an html attachment). Make certain that the copy contains your MCAT scores and that other data and information is not missing. If any important data is missing please add it to the application in ink or submit it on a separate sheet of paper.
2. A completed University of Chicago Supplemental Application submitted by surface mail. The supplemental application may be found at:

3. A packet of evaluation letters from your health professions advisor, career counseling service or premedical committee, or three letters from faculty and others.
All elements of the application must be postmarked no later than January 4.
We advise you to complete your application as well in advance of that deadline as you are able. Applications are considered in the order in which they are completed.
If you do not intend to complete your application to Pritzker we would appreciate a return email with ? Pritzker Application ? in the subject line.
