No, sorry, I can't go that day. 🙁

does this mean that if you haven't heard from pritzker yet then you're rejected?

as far as i know, they're rolling admissions and still interviewing for a while...so don't give up hope!! if you really want to know, you should email the admissions office. they're super nice. good luck 🙂

I think they do not pay for our flight, but will find a student for us to stay with...
I think

you could always just ask them about how much these trips usually cost students...pretend like you're working on your budget for the spring semester...then they'll either give you a guess at the cost or tell you that it costs nothing because they cover it.

It might be cutting it close for you, somewhere, but those of you wanting to go in April should watch for sales on Southwest if they fly to your city. I've gotten some super cheap flights to Chicago and some other midwestern cities. (Maybe most NORMAL people don't want to visit Chicago in Feb??? 😉 )

Hey folks...congrats on getting in!
To clear a few things up:
1) Our revisit weekends are mostly on you to get here, and then we take care of the rest. We will set you up with a student host if you want one and give you dinner and breakfast (and lunch? I'm not sure).
2) We are still interviewing and accepting students...there was a large group of interviewees here today, in fact.
3) In general - this goes for all schools - people don't care if you call them or email them to ask questions, however stupid you think it may be. You've likely never applied to med school before, and people don't expect you to know the ins and outs of everything; likewise, you shouldn't feel timid about getting the info you need. It's really not a big deal, and no one is going to put in your file that, at worst, some uninvolved secretary momentarily thinks you're a *******. Really, that's the worst that could happen.

Cheers and congrats again!

golftrippy,

I called Pritzker last Tuesday and the lady told me that I will hear back within 2-3 weeks. I was complete pretty late around mid november also. Hopefully I'll be invited for an interview because Pritzker is definetly one of my top 3 choices!

I'm going crazy...I interviewed 10/31 and still haven't heard anything, but no news is better than a rejection, right? I called the admissions office last week and they said the committee hadn't decided on my application yet...i'm waiting on pins and needles!

Cool, thanks shinenjk. I guess we're at the bottom of the pile...

I don't know exactly why, but I'm under the impression that Pritzker generally doesn't reject those who get interviews -- they are either accepted or waitlisted. I could be remembering something from the interview day...

Good luck! :luck:

Yeah, they said they only reject people that act very unprofessional during interview day so only a couple post-interview every year. So its either acceptance or waitlist

Yeah, i remember them saying something about that, but an acceptance would be much nicer than being put on the waitlist 🙂 I just want to know already. Thanks for the good wishes! Hopefully I'll be back with good news relatively soon (keeps fingers crossed).

I also noticed from reading about Pritzker and browsing through mdapplicants that they seem give out few interviews but accept vast majority of them. I've seen plenty of people with awesome scores who got rejected by Pritzker post secondary. I'll be jumping with joy if I get an interview at Pritzker just for that reason. Those who get interviews/acceptances - power to ya.
