Was wondering if a specialist ( pediatric dentist) would be paid more that a general dentist doing the same procedure . For eg occlusal composite on tooth #19? Or performing pulpotomy and Stainless steel crown on # K?

you can charge whatever you want in your office....insurances pay their own set fee and it doesn't change much while a pt without insurance pays what the office charges

insurances reimburse at different rates if you are a specialist. a root canal done by a specialist will get a higher reimbursement than one done on the same tooth by a gp in the same zip code.
