USMLE Process/outcome failing Step 2CS prior to ERAS for AMG?

I've done a bit of searching and I haven't been able to find anything on the process/outcome of AMG folks who fail Step 2CS prior to submitting ERAS? I see most posts revolve around failing after/while interviewing or around the time of match list submissions.

That's a rough situation. Part of ERAS being complete is the upload/submission of all current USMLE scores.

This happened to my friend. He submitted all his scores including a failed CS and applied broadly. Was able to get 8 or 9 interviews for Family Med at some fairly decent programs (I guess being a US MD helped) but I can't imagine what the outcome would be for a more competitive specialty.

You don't really have much of a choice but to submit it. There's no way to selectively submit some scores and not others.
