It's wednesday night again and I'm avoiding doing my PBL learning issue like the plague by dreaming about better times to come. I just have some general questions that I couldn't find in the various FAQ posts.
How portable is an EM trained doc? Would it be easy for someone to pick up and move every year or few years if he chose? What about moving out of the US to other countries?
Would it be a good choice if you wanted to work for an IHO like the world health organization?
One of the possible plans I came up with would be to do an MD/MBA, an EM residency, and then an international fellowship. Then maybe I could do practice and policy work wherever in the world I want to be. I'm only a first year, so this is more just about entertaining what ifs.
