How do you interpret a productive vs. non-productive cough in a question stem? Obviously this is very non-specific, but how can this information alone help you?

Productive:
Bronchitis
Bronchiectasis
Smokers
Klebsiella (especially if described as jelly-like mucus, due to capsule of Klebsiella)

Non-Productive:
ACE-I overdose (due to increased bradykinin)
hypersensitivity pneumonitis

add more!!!
