Hey guys!

I tried searching the forums but couldn't find an answer to my question. Out of the one year of required General Chem. I have proficiencied out of second semester GC, and I plan on taking the lab for it since I can't proficiency out of that. I have taken one semester of physics and plan of taking a proficiency exam for the other semester. My question is, will med schools allow proficiency credit?

Most will either want you to take it again anyway or take some upper div chem (PChem for example) in it's place.

Do you know where I can find more info on this? I took the proficiency exam because I didn't have money to pay for the class itself. I sat in lecutre with all the other students and took the same final they did. This will really suck if I have to take it again.

Best bet is to check out the web sites of the medical schools you are interested in attending. Summary information is sometimes available in the MSAR book (Medical School Application Requirements) from aamc.org, but more detail can be had from the schools' websites.
