Does anyone have any direct or indirect experience for Navy Reserves Program 9, (Marine Corps) after residency?
Specifically
1) What is the actual clinical experience/military operational experience?
2) Is there an ability to flex-drill if absolutely needed? All the documentation states essentially it's frowned upon for this particular program but not outlawed.
3) How does this work geographically? ie I live in town x but the nearest Marine Corps Unit is in town y (not unique to this program but I have never experienced that)
4) Are there opportunities for surgeons or is this primarily GMO or primary care? I know there are some surgical teams but where are they and in theory you would have to be willing to travel to wherever they drill correct?
