Promotion to Major...still essentially automatic?

With all the talk of increased competitiveness of promotion, particularly to LTC or COL, any word on changes to MAJ? Despite glowing narratives I don't have a single ACOM on my three OERs and am concerned this may be detrimental when I go before the promotion board.

Pass your APFT, to include height and weight, and you'll be fine. It's common to wait to rate someone above COM until they're close to their promotion board.
