I'm currently sitting on a few waitlists, but I have already been accepted to the school that is best for me. What is the proper thing to do in order to ask to be taken off the waitlists and not be considered for admission? Thanks!

Send a polite two-line email and be done with it. You're overthinking.

"Thank you for considering me for admission. I have decided to attend elsewhere and decline my position on the waitlist at this time"

One line is really ok. We don't take it personally.

Would that advice also apply for declining acceptances before May 15th? I'm tying up loose ends tonight, haha. Cheers.
