Pros and cons of working at a private, teaching, or VA hospital?

I'm working on putting together a presentation for pharmacy students but havent really had the chance to work/rotate through a private hospital. So what are the pros and cons of a teaching, private, and VA hospital? Thanks

Never worked at a VA, but since I interviewed for residency with 2 of them, it seems like:
Pros: lots of ambulatory experience. Some prescriptive authority for pharmacists. Electronic medical record. A lot of vacation time.
Cons: restrictive formulary, many of them are not very strong on the inpatient side, patient population is relatively uniform

Private hospitals are so varied that it's hard to group them in one category. I guess there's usually a more varied patient population.
