Hello,

I just started my registration for April's MCAT exam, and a question came up about releasing my scores to med. schools. Two options were given to me: "Yes" and "No." What are the pros/cons of saying either "yes" or "no?" Am I at a disadvantage if I choose "No?"

I'd appreciate any help that you can give me! 😕

Actually, didn't they get rid of the option for this time around? My MCAT course teacher said that schools now automatically get applicants' scores.

No, they didn't get rid of the option...If they did, then perhaps there was an error with applicants being given the opportunity to reply "No."....

There should be no option about scores on or after April 2003; you have to release. There is an option for scores before April 2003.

We were told that starting in 2003 AAMC are going to send the scores to school automatically. I think it only involves AMCAS participating schools though.
