I am interested in the career of Psychology, however, I dont have an undergrad in that..With that said, what are the current job markets in this field like? Is it competitve or should one go all the way and become a psychologist?

I am wanting to also hear form current job market applicants in this field

Though I'm only starting grad school, from everything I have heard it depends on your location and your specialty in psych. What specifically do you want to do?

As for yourt question of whether one should go all the way to a Doctorate, it again depends on what you want to do. You can do therapy with a MSW degree. I will say this, if you decide to go all the way, do so at a funded program. In my opinion it isn't worth taking out large loans. For the most part the finiancial gain isn't there, and you can't simply count on being one of the lucky few with a great job that will pay it off.
