Prosthodontics Residency 2018

It is my understanding that UIC is done interviewing for now. I have to say though, I'm quite disappointed with the program. They never bothered mentioning anything when they got the applications, when they rejected the applicants and almost never answer the phone. I understand that they're one of the top programs in the country but you'd expect a little more courtesy to the applicants. This is just my personal opinion from applying to them this year!

When I called them, they said they may have another round, but didn't give any details.

The other round would be after MATCH day, in case they do not fill their class (which is highly unlikely!)

Don't know about this year cycle..but Indiana accepts internationals.
 
I got rejection from UBC in case someone is applying.

Had a word with Indiana, they will select 10 students and will send invites in mid-oct.

Anyone heard from Umich, ucsf, uab, unc, Lsu, wvu?
 
LSU finished interviewing.
UNC finished sending interview invites.
 
UMn said they have sent out interview invites!
Will be sending a few more this week

Do you have any idea when they sent interview invites? The application deadline was this Friday, so I assumed they were waiting till after to write back to applicants!
 
Did anyone hear from UAB? are they still sending invites?

Did USC sent heir invites ?? I believe their deadline is on December so will they still send more invites ?

Yes they have sent their invites and I don't know if they're still sending or not!
 
Did anyone hear from UAB, Upenn, Rochester, Boston University?

Michigan said they are reviewing applications and processing them as we speak and should be ready with invites soon

Hey guys I was in your shoes last year and it sucks and it is stressful waiting to hear back from programs, but pursuing your dreams in this manner is exciting at the same time (well it was for me anyway). Stay positive!!! You can do this! If you truly want Prosth, you will be a Prosthodontist (regardless of if it happens this year or in the future). It is a beautiful and amazing field to be a part of. I learn so much every single day. There is nothing else that I would rather be doing. I hope to call you all my fellow Prosthodontists one day. I am praying for you guys!!!!

I applied for 7 universities only heard back a rejection from Loma Linda
Will try to stay positive
Did U get admitted ?

Yes ma'am, I did!! I remember it like it was yesterday. I received my acceptance email on September 28, 2016 (as you all know last year was PASS so we heard back earlier than you all will this year). It was one of the best days of my life.

It's funny how you can remember these little things... i remember being in the middle of a molar endo on a squeamish 18 year old in my GPR... he kept fidgeting and moving around, and i was struggling with MB2 access.... and then i got a phone call from a Maryland area code...
i politely excused myself, and answered the call. I JUMPED UP AND DOWN AND ACCEPTED THE OFFER. I then calmly returned to the patient and said "lets put some calcium hydroxide in this tooth and let it medicate... i'll be referring you to a specialist."
haven't done an endo since! LOL
