Does the Psych/Soc section contain research passages other than experiments? Like would it contain case studies, surveys, etc. as opposed to scientific method based experiments?
Surveys don't have a place within the scientific method?
I would hazard a guess that AAMC has psych and soc professors as consultants for the psych/soc section, and psych/soc professors do love their surveys....
Also, in general, non-experimental research plays a very important role in medicine. Epidemiological evidence is often the first indication that a trend might be interesting to look into from an experimental standpoint.
