Northwest Texas Healthcare System/UHS are actively recruiting for a two (2) Psychiatry Hospitalists to the community of Amarillo, TX. This is a full time opportunity with hours being 8A 5P Monday-Friday, with rotating call. The hospitalist group has been a mainstay in the community for 6 years and is comprised of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine hospitalist.
This position requires at least 2 years of experience and BC/BE in Psychiatry. Also candidates with a military background are desired. Candidates must be willing to obtain Subxone certification. Average patient caseload is 15-20 per day. The group has EMR and diction is available. Compensation is competitive and a quarterly bonus based on productivity is also included. Benefits include malpractice with tail coverage, medical, dental, CME allowance and time off, interview and relocation expenses.
Amarillo has four distinct seasons. All faiths are represented in the community. The public schools are excellent and there are parochial and private schools available. Amarillo Community College is located in the city and West Texas A & M is located fifteen minutes from Amarillo. Amarillo has many cultural activities, which include the Amarillo Symphony and Opera, the Lone Star Ballet, and several theater groups. Recreational activities are plentiful. Located in north Texas the city is about five hours from Albuquerque, six hours from Denver and an hour' flight to Dallas.
