Think about the liability issues hospitals would have to deal with for someone in your situation. Unfortunatly in this day and age, every mistake can turn into a lawsuit. What would happen if you wanted to watch the trauma team code a patient, and the doc turn to you and asks for something. Are you going to know what to look for and where to find it? Even if you do, if you make a mistake are you wiling to suffer the civil and criminal penalties for it? If patient contact is what you want, consiter training as a CNA/ER tech/emt. It will give you the experience you want, adds some shimmer to your resumes and applications, ives you something to talk about at interviews, and it will get you a little bit of cash as well.

also, remember, this buisness thrives on paperwork (for the time being, at least). Be grateful for the introduction to medical records your getting filling.
