Ptcb registration: Employer?

when i register for the PTCB test, it asks for an employer, but i don't have one. i want to take the test first before starting to work for a pharmacist. is it necessary to have an employer for this test? i put "other" under the employer and "none" under the employer's name. is it okay? do this test system care?

PTCB does not need to know your employer or work info. I pretty much put down what you did even though I do have a non-health related full time job. It's not revelant information that they should know and I didn't feel like putting it down. Just make sure you have your name, SS, and other personal info in.

With that said, you might want to check with your state about its requirement to becoming a certified pharm tech. I read from this forum before that some states do require you to go through a training program in addition to taking the exam.

I already got my results and passed the exam and they don't care. I wasn't employed so I just put in a random store like I used to work at safeway so I just put that....
