public health vs clinical research

just curious on thoughts on this. i work for a pharm company and have taken some courses in a MS in clin research program. i'm not sure about the program and the field even. i've been thinking about public health. i dont want to be trained solely for pharmaceutical industry. i want to feel like i'm contributing to alleviating social problems rather than helping a profit-seeking industry. i'm also very interested in nutrtion. how close are the curriclums - would it be worthwhile to switch?
