I am co-authored in two publications from the same lab. I have some questions about how to put it into AMCAS.

1. Do i group them into one experience?

2. Since i already have an experience filled out for my work in the lab, what should the description be? I have right now just the name of the paper and the name of the publication and the fact that i am co-authored in it. Should talk about what the paper is about which would be sort of redundant from my description of the lab experience itself?

Thanks in advance

WHen I listed my pubs, I did them individually, separate and apart from each other and my entry for the lab work. They are accomplishments and should be distinct rom run-of-the-mill lab work, so list them as such.
As far as describing them--I didn't. Rather, I described my role in the experiment or trial. Schools do not care about your research--they care what you did to earn the co-authorship, etc. PM with any other questions.

AMCAS lets you put in max of 15 experiences, so if you have enough room, then I would definitely list each authorship separately.

Secondly, you'd be suprised with how easy it is to run out of the space alotted to describe the publication. I gave the title, journal, institution, my position, along with my role in the writing and revision process. If you have room, you can also write a sentence about the "layperson's" significance of your findings.
