I ran across this site that lists estimated home values for specific homes (even condos) in certain areas which has been really useful in my condo-hunting quest. Just type in the address (or use the satellite map) and it will spit out the value of the home (even prices for individual condo units).
http://www.zillow.com/ (Am I dreaming for not wanting to overpay in California?)

The best maps, aerial and bird's eye view satellite pictures I have come across are located here:
http://local.live.com/ ... I've been checking out areas online before even visiting them. Check out the bird's eye view of USC Health Sciences Campus.

People with school-aged children moving to/within California should check out:
http://api.cde.ca.gov/reports/page2.asp?subject=API&level=County&submit1=submit
This lists the ratings/API scores for ALL of the public schools in California.

Feel free to post any other helpful resources. 👍

Now this is pretty cool... except that I used it to look up my parent's house, which happens to be for sale, and this site shows the house and gives stats about it... like square feet and no. of baths. The stats are totally wrong. Where are they getting this information?!!

I looked up the street that I live on and it had values only, no stats. They looked about right. Though not all the houses on the street were shown...
