Q about the Texas Med and Dent Application

    Here at A&M, we have a pretty good professional school advising department that collects our transcripts, letters, etc., I was just wondering though, when it comes time to actually fill out the application after May 1, do you still have to send more transcripts, personal photos and stuff to each school? Even after giving all this stuff to the advising office? Are the advising office's copies just for their own records? And if so, when is the best time to send these records to each of the schools, when your filling out the application, or after?

    you forward your transcripts, photos, letters of rec, and application fees to the central TX Med & Dent School App Service and they forward copies to the designated schools.

    OPSA takes care of your 3 reference letters and a "cover" letter introducing you to the committees. Transcripts have to be sent to Austin from each school attended...not by you. You send your photos, signature page, and fees to Austin soon after completing the online application.

    OPSA files away your informal photo, questionnaire, transcripts, etc. to have a file on you for their own benefit. It helps them write that cover letter. But technically, they send ONLY reference letters to Austin on your behalf.
