Can someone please tell me what is this question asking? I've stared at it for 10 mintues now and I still don't even understand the question.

It's a really simple but twisted question. It's basically asking why could HCl be mistakenly considered an ionic compound. The only ionic characteristic of the four choices is that it conducts electricity.
