I am filling out my AMCAS application and I feel I am eligible for the FAP but it wants information from my parents which one is dead and the other is in another state... This information will be hard to come by and I am wondering why at my age it is neccessary.

Anyone who has information on this or is knowledgable on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Because your family income is considered in whether or not you qualify for the FAP, regardless of whether you are a legal dependent.
