Second hand info---but from what I hear they're second-tier in terms of competitiveness. The big 3 are currently Cards, GI and Heme/Onc, with nephro a bit behind, then pulmo/CC and rheum. The others are much easier. I could be wrong in the details though.
Stormweaver is right - these are two of the less competitive IM fellowships (although as always, competition is fiercer at top tier programs).
Rheum is more popular - conceiviably because of the better lifestyle it afford (we are constantly consulting Renal, often late at night [they take in house call, Rheum does not], with anuric post-op patients who must start dialysis).
