What are the top, "must read" medical journals in various parts of the world?

I know in the U.S. JAMA, The New England Journal of Medicine and journal of your specialty's association are usually considered the "must reads." In Britain it seems to be the BMA and the Lancet (and your specialty assn.'s journal.)

What about India? Argentina? Saudi Arabia? The UAE?...

This board is, as you might have guessed, extremely heavily dominated by North American posters. Perhaps you should try the International board, although I'm guessing you'll still be hard pressed to find someone who knows much about the UAE!

Well, if you are a medical student you can get away with not reading any journal at all.

As for Indian doctos, Indian and international journals of your speciality are mandatory. NEJM is also very popular here.
