Question about KCUMB Rotations

Just wondering about what percentage of KCUMB students do their rotations in Kansas City... do most people who want to stay get to? Has anyone done a couples match for rotations or know of someone who has? If yes, please tell me more about it! Thank you very much!

I forgot the exact statistic, but I believe they said somewhere around 96% of students got their first choice rotation site and that 4% got their second choice. Someone at my interview asked if it was hard to get a KC rotation site and it didn't seem like a problem. I don't know about a couples match for rotations.

I knew a few people who didn't get their 1st choice....however, I did. Oh the stress, huh? 😀

Went to an information session at KCUMB recently, and they say 45% stay in KC...most that want to stay in KC get to do so. If you're in the MBA/DO program, you have to stay.

Most get their first choice.

And yes, they do couples match...in fact, two of the students I talked to had done just this for their 3rd and 4th years.

If you even think you want to stay in KC, put it as your first choice because if you put it second or third you will not get it. I am speaking from experience. I did not match and had to match in the second round. I ended up in Ohio. Anyway, it all worked out. I love the hospital and will be staying to do Emergency Med. Just giving ya'll a heads up.
