I have a couple of question about med school LOR's.

1) Does the admissions board contact the person who wrote the letter?

2) If so, what sort of things will they talk about?

I am asking because I heard a story from a fellow premeder that they basically grill the person that recommends you from head to toe.

no way. i don't think professors have time for that. the only reason they might contact someone is if there was a question about an activity being legit.

Really? Cause I heard that they contact no matter what. I would hate for that to happen because the LOR's I got where from a couple of less than friendly and quite busy profs. I would hate for them to get annoyed and say something that might hurt me.
