Question about MCAT score release

Hey guys,

My girlfriend is taking the upcoming MCAT, but is unsure whether or not to release the score right away. Is there an additional charge to release the MCAT score after receiving the score report? What about immediately after the test? Thanks for your help!

No, there's no additional fee to release them later. You just have to write a letter to AAMC. But I think that the medschools can see that they've been held back. From what I've heard, they don't look that favorably upon it. She should probably release them at the time of the test unless something prevents her from doing her best on the test, i.e. getting sick in the middle of the test. If she's not prepared for the test and able to give it her best shot, she shouldn't be taking the test.
