Question about Pass/Fail Prerequisites

It has come to my attention that I really will not do well in my orgo II class and so I pass/failed the class with the intention of retaking the class over the summer for a letter grade.

Is this an acceptable thing to do? Pass/fail a prereq and retake it?

It's actually pass/no credit at my school and doesnt count towards a student's GPA btw

As long as you retake it I guess it doesn't really matter. Nothing you can do about it now since its already done, but be sure to do well when you retake it.

It shows up as P or NC on the transcript but does not count towards the GPA at all.
