I've heard from various people that in order to practice in NYC you have to do a residency program in NYC. Is that true because their website does not seem to specify where the residency program is located but that it "must be an approved clinically-based dental residency program of at least one year's duration and must be successfully completed" so I'm confused~ Thanks for replying~!!

the requirement is only that you need to complete at least 1 year of post-grad training. the location that you do it is irrelevant (As long as it's CODA approved). it does not need to be in nyc.

you should check when this rule came into effect. maybe you might not need to do a residency program depending on when you graduated or got your dental license. You should just call the agency and speak to someone.
