I had a question about shadowing my doctor (an internist) who I see regularly for my migraines. We've become kinda close over the last year or so, not like best friends or anything, but established a great doctor-patient relationship, FWIW. Would it be weird or inappropriate to ask about shadowing him, seeing as I am one of his patients? or would it be a better opportunity seeing as how we already know each other and interact well.

thanks!

that's pretty much how everyone started shadowing; through their the primary care physician. so i say ask him/her, it certainly won't hurt and many physician are flattered that you want to shadow them.
