Hey guys,
I was accepted into DGSOM at UCLA and have been living in California for the past four years, including: renting an apartment, voting here, paying utilities and bills, etc. The only thing is that I don't own a car, so I didn't change my driver's license. I'm not sure how that will factor in terms of tuition for the first year. I plan on buying a car this summer and changing my license. But I was wondering for years 2-4, can I establish California residency and perhaps be able waive the possible out of state tuition for the subsequent years? What else does it take to establish California residency/show my intent? The school was a bit vague about it, so any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
