someone please respond to some question about U of Pacific...

- when do students take boards 1 and 2?

- how is the patient base? do students have problems meeting graduation requirements due to lack of patients?

- how intense is the 3 year program? can you break it down by describing year 1, 2, and 3? will i be pulling all nighters every week, or can i still get some Zzzz's?

I can only answer a few questions about UOP because it's not my cup of tea.

1..NDBE I is taken in Dec of second year.

2. I did ask about patient pool at UOP, but noone told me a number. One thing I know is that they don't have sattelite or community clinics. So, what you see is what you get at the school.

3. The students at UOP told me that second and third years are mostly in the clinic. And they break students up in shift. From 8am-2pm, and from 2-9pm. Clinic is closed at 9pm.
They told me that it's relaxing in second and third year.

4. Graduation requirement at UOP is not high. They require only 9 crowns. This I was told by a preclinical instructor at UOP last year. He also told me that UOP closed down their lab 9 yrs ago. So, he opened a lab at his home and do all the lab works for students. He told me that his business is doing well because students don't have to do any lab work. They all send them to him. But he said that occasionally, some students do up to 28-30 crowns before graduation. But not all of them. This is a small number. However, since UOP class is large, it's enough to keep him busy when he's not teaching.

5. You're gonna get plenty of ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ still at UOP.
Students at UOP don't look like all nighters to me.

Hope some future UOP students can contribute more.
