I just had my wisdom teeth removed, all 4. The bottom pair were embedded in the bone, and so my dentist had to take some bone with it. I had it on tuesday the 3rd, and my lower right jaw is still pretty swollen and painful. I beleive the lower right tooth was deeper, and thus more bone was taken.

Plus, I brux at night, so I'm sure that doesn't help the situation.

About how long should I expect pain and swelling?

I have a bite guard but don't want to wear it as its still painful toward the back of my mouth.

Also, I remember the entire procedure. I was under the impression that we aren't supposed to remember while under conscious sedation? Weird.

Thanks to all who reply!

SDN isn't a forum for soliciting professional advice. If you have questions, please consult the dentist or oral surgeon who performed the procedure. Thanks. 🙂
