My Step 1 Score is Below Average. I didnt do very well at all on that exam. Would a High Step 2 Score help offset this? Im not looking to apply to Top Programs, but more so the following: North Carolina Hospitals (Charlotte, NC), Medical Univ of South Carolina (Charleston, SC) WVU Hospitals (morgantown WV) USC Medical (Columbia SC), and ECU.

I wonder if I will have a Very Hard Time at these Places?

I'd try to get a really decent Step 2 score. But your Step 1 score does not preclude you from getting into an IM program, especially that it is not very competitive.
