You're in a clinic talking to people there for medical testing, sounds like clinical volunteering to me.

30 hours varied shadowing + a bunch of full time work and volunteer work with patients in clinics should be OK. Maybe try shadowing some docs at your work or clinic to boost the hours to 50.

@efle Thanks so much! I've also volunteered for over a hundred hours at a hospital, but that wasn't super fruitful, so I stopped. I'll do my best to get in contact with some folks and shadow before this summer then! I don't want lack of shadowing to be the reason I don't in.
