I have some questions for those of you who have taken test #11. Mainly of the "Am I crazy or is EK answer wrong" variety. Yes I know, the former is much more likely and I should probably be in a strait-jacket, but please hear me out.

Problem #7: The answer says C, I said B. The explanation just says Atari is involved in video arcade business. But I find no evidence of that. The passage states that the developer of Pong later created Atari, and the rest of the Atari related info purely focus on home video games, with no mention of video arcade games. It also mention about the market for video arcade game being good, but that's not directly related to Atari. So Ek answer doesn't sound reasonable to me.

Problem #56: Answer says B, I said D. EK's version: Since evolution put premium on intelligence, and the Western society has eliminated natural selection which leads to evolution, that means members of Western society will become less intelligent. It seems to me that this conclusion isn't correct since the absence of natural selection is not equivalent to regression in intelligence. Therefore, I think the best answer is D: "No reasonable conclusion can be drawn."

I would appreciate any feedback. These questions are really bugging me, as I couldn't understand why my answers are wrong.

I got this one wrong as well. But if you read the first paragraph of the passage you can find the answer. According to the first paragraph, ping pong first appeared on the scene in 1971. Then in the same paragraph it says that "founders of Pong eventually created the company atari, and by 1976, Atari Video computer Systems became available for the home"

Meaning that Ping Pong was in the arcade first and then it came for the home system.

Hope that helps.

Pong was in the arcade at first, but that doesn't necessarily mean the Atari company was involved in arcade. The progression of events is this: in 1971 some developers create Pong, and it was in arcades. Then later, these developers found Atari company, and by 1976 they introduce home video games. In other words, according to the passage, Atari and Pong doesn't share any connection except Pong was developed by Atari's founders before the company came into existence.

My god I feel silly discussing Pong, but this is what MCAT has reduced me to.
