Questions are more thinking on Step 1 than Qbank?

Ok, so I took the NBME 1 today. People say the real thing has more "thinking" and reasoning questions than Qbank. But this NBME 1 was just like Qbank! And even with shorter question stems on some of them. So how come NBME is known as the better correlator of your score than Qbank? Perhaps Qbank percentages ranges too much for one person? What gives.
