1. When and Where did you first meet your girlfriend/fiance(e)/wife? What's the age difference between you and your partner?

2. What's the consensus on dating? Are most dental students down to date someone or are they against the idea?

3. Which is more common? Serious relationships or hookups?

4. Do's and Dont's?

Thank you.

Contrary to the notion that many folks around here seem to have, one's life doesn't stop for 4 years the moment they 1st walk into their d-school as a 1st year. And amazingly enough most folks actually figure out pretty quickly that they can do the majority of things that they did prior to starting d-school (maybe not quite as often or for quite as many hours a day). It's figuring out this balance between the academic needs that one has in d-school vs. the recreational needs that one 100% needs to have to maintain something resembling sanity is IMHO is key towards one's emotional health

This is probably somebody trolling, but I'll bite. I need to take a break from studying for part1.

1. Have had a couple, all ages up to 20 years my senior . Older women are less maintenance and more appreciative of you and less likely to quarrel over nonsense. I wouldn't go after someone more than 10 yrs older though, but who am I to make an arbitrary number. You're a hot shot dental student, why not go for the high school grads. Take what you can get, right? 2. The only dental students I know who aren't "down to date" are , well, nobody. Unless you've had a couple ribs removed and would rather stay at home, if you catch my drift.
3. You'll be able to tell which girls want to hook up and which ones want serious relationships. Have you been to college yet?
4. DO: whatever you want- as long as it won't get you kicked out or thrown in the pen (the school has your background check, they'll know if you get arrested), including dating who-ever in or outside of your class. You live once. Now go get nasty.

1. When and Where did you first meet your girlfriend/fiance(e)/wife? What's the age difference between you and your partner?

I had three girlfriends while in dental school. The first two were during a 3 year span (years 1-3) and I met one at a bar, and the second at starbucks coffee. The first was 3 years older than me, the second was a few years younger. The last girl I dated while in school was in hygiene and she was 3 years younger than me.

2. What's the consensus on dating? Are most dental students down to date someone or are they against the idea?

Unless you're a monk, you need some form of companionship in life. You have to date.

3. Which is more common? Serious relationships or hookups?

In dental school, you will mostly see serious relationships between future dentists and their SO. I was always happy keeping things atleast mildly casual and never got too serious with anyone during my time there.
