With the unregulated increase in LH in PCOS, why isn't there an increase in progesterone? Is it because you never get a corpus luteum to produce it? What about the LH acting on the theca cells to take cholesterol -> pregnenolone -> progesterone?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes.

The primary product of the theca cells is androstenedione. I'm sure the person's progesterone level isn't ZERO, it's just not elevated in the same way that the estrogens and androgens are.
