Hi everyone,
I was browsing through the LSHTM webpage and I came across this interesting tidbit:
"Students have 24-hour access to the School's computing facilities and those who own a computer and modem can access the network facilities remotely over a dial-in link. Students can access a wide range of networked software and services, including electronic mail, word-processing, spreadsheets, statistical packages, graphics, bibliographical databases and the Internet. The School also operates a wireless network. Students bringing their laptops can arrange to have a wireless card installed, allowing use of the School network wherever there is a wireless point."
Certainly this must be an outdated description of their technological infrastructure? Dial-in networking? Owning a modem? Having a wireless card installed?
Just confirming that LSHTM is in fact up to date on wireless computing...
Much appreciated.
