in my kaplan book, it says that to find a dark fringe during diffraction u use the formula asin0=nlambda.

(where a = slit width, 0 = theta)

But during interference, u use the same formula to find a maxima.

So in diffraction, u use it to find a dark fringe, and in interference you use it to find a light fringe? Is this correct?
