rad onc match and step II

hey guys,

i know in the charting the outcomes 2007, many of the successful applicants hadn't even taken step II.


i was just curious to hear from those already in their rad onc residency, if not having taken step II was brought up in the interview


im planning on taking it in february

the reason im taking it so late is not because my step i score is super high (92) but because i want to make sure i do well on it in case i dont match


in my eras app...i just put plan to take feb 08....should i omit this?


maybe im just over thinking this but i thought i would ask

Well when I applied last year I noted on ERAS that I would be taking Step II in October. I ended up postponing it until after all the interviews were completed because I didn't have sufficient time to prepare. I went on 12 interviews and was never once asked about my (lack of) scores, why I had not taken Step II yet, etc.
