Radiation and cardiology

  1. I know that it's a bit early but I think that I would like to be a cardiologist in the future. The one concern that I had is that doing all of those procedures using fluoroscopy and x-ray radiation every day would give me cancer. Does anybody know anything about the risk of it? I know they have those lead aprons for you but it just seems to me that if you are doing it everyday, you must have an increased risk. I imagine some types of radiologist must have to go through the same thing, but I don't know too much about them.
