Can someone please give advice on a radiology book for a 3rd year student. The name and author would be very helpful. Thanks.

I liked Radiology Recall by Spencer Gay and Radiology Secrets.

Mettler's Essentials of Radiology is reputed to be good. About $57 at Walmart.com.

Squire's Fundamentals of Radiology rocks! $80.00 at BN. com
www.bn.com

Get yourself the following two books:

Squire's Fundamental's of Radiology and Felson's Priniciples of chest Roentgenology, a programmed text.

I really liked Fleckenstein's Anatomy in Diagnostic Imaging. This primarily a introductory text, but is was highly recomended by a great IR.

Yes, this subject sounds interesting, indeed.

1. Weist's _Fundamentals of Emergency Radiology_ is the best "first read" rads book for medical students. ~$40 and you can read it in 2 or 3 evenings. It covers chest, abdomen & ortho and won't bog you down in things that you won't need as a student.

2. I'm definitely biased, but I think every 3rd year med student should go through The Wolf Files (demo on the link below).

Cheers.
