Is the only thing that the diag radiologist do is read films?

Then how much is he paid for 1 film if the patient pays medicare? if hmo? and if commercial? Is there a difference in commercial fee between Northeast and Midwest, if so how many %?

What is fee for service?
Assuming that many patients in ER rooms are on medicaid, doesnt it draw away radiologists from those hospitals?

Is the cost for film reading going to go down in the near future?
